Year 2025 Record Sales

2025: Record Sales for Mitsubishi Canada

Mitsubishi Canada had some excellent news to share at the beginning of July, all as part of its sales review of the first six months of 2025.

Basically, after breaking its own domestic records in 2024, the company announces that it has just had its best first half of a calendar year ever in the country. This is something to cheer everyone up, and also to motivate the troops as new models are expected in the coming years.

Specifically, the company's Canadian division sold 18,900 units during the first six months of 2025, a figure that represents a 4% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

The company's success in achieving this mark was, among other things, the strong performance of the gasoline-powered Outlander, a model that benefited from an upgrade in early 2025. It was the brand's best-selling model with 5,293 versions sold, ahead of the PHEV version, with 4,694 transactions. In 2024, the PHEV variant was the best-selling model.

Next up, in order, are the RVR and Eclipse Cross SUVs. The former saw 4,126 customers request it, while the latter saw 3,115 buyers.

Even the Mirage, which ceased production at the end of 2024, continued to sell, with 1,672 units.

The Last Three Months

Perhaps even more interesting for Mitsubishi are the results for the second quarter of the year, i.e., the last three months (April-May-June). During this period, 10,736 models were sold, a 15% increase compared to 2024. This time, the Outlander PHEV was the most sold, with 1,000 more sales than in the first three months of the year.

This result is no surprise, as many buyers waited for the incentives to return to Quebec before making their purchase. The second half of the year therefore looks very promising.

We're certain of it, because the 2026 lineup will see the Outlander PHEV benefit from the upgrades that hit the gasoline version in early 2025. And that's without counting on the all-electric SUV that will join the lineup for 2026, a model that will be based on the new 2026 Nissan LEAF, which was just unveiled for the Canadian market.

Truly, things are going well at Mitsubishi Canada, and the trend isn't about to be reversed.
